Mount Mainstreet is proud to present the inaugural Roaming Tapas event to welcome spring in the Mount. 

It’s all happening this weekend, on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September, with a bunch of the best hospitality venues on the strip bringing you culinary delights for $10 or less. 

Get downtown to discover and try new dishes and hospitality hotspots. We have institutions like Hide Thirst & Hunger taking part in the foodie adventure alongside Solera, the Bay of Plenty’s only hatted restaurant as recently named at the Cuisine Good Food Awards in August. 

Hidden gems include The Barn and Sabal at The Cruise Deck, alongside fan favourites like Roxie’s Red Hot Cantina and Fox’s Hawker House, just to name a few.

We encourage you to come along and roam the street, stopping at as many of our participating venues as your stomach can handle and try some really incredible dishes.

We know times have been tough with the cost of living but our hospitality heroes wanted a way to showcase the incredible foodie scene we have here, at an approachable price point, all while maintaining the integrity of the incredible experience they offer.

• Solera – Salmon pancetta with sunflower seed tahini on a miso shortbread, $6.*
• The Barn – Mini burger slider with fries, $9.50.
• Hide Thirst & Hunger – Kingfish ceviche with coconut, chilli, lime, coriander and tostada, as well as a Yakitori beef skewer with coriander salsa verde and pickled spanish onions, each $10.*
• Fox’s Hawker House – Chicken katsu yum bun bao, $10.
• Sabal – Korean fried chicken, $10.
• Sailor – Parmesan churro with fire-roasted capsicum pesto, as well as a snapper slider with watercress and tartare in a house made milk bun, each $10.*
• Brew Co – Iconic cheeseburger, $10.*
• Master Kong – Wok tossed edamame served with Kong’s special sauce, $9.
• Roxie’s Red Hot Cantina – Cheeto chicken taco, Jackfruit taco, Fish taco and Pork Belly taco, $9.50 each.
• Latitude 37 – Rocket and blue cheese arancini with cranberry dip, $10.
• RE Burger – Lil’ cheese slider or Lil’ chick slider, $7.40 each.
• Polar Dessert Bar – Affogato, $9.
