Over 200 artists gathered together for one unique public cultural festival event. Toi Kiri’s three-day public festival returns bigger than ever at Whareroa Reserve, Mount Maunganui.

Te Kahu o Toi Kiri Exhibition

Tauranga Art Gallery Pop UP & Kūwao Space, Tauranga
Spread across two Tauranga CBD locations at Tauranga’s very own Toi Tauranga Pop UP, and Kūwao Space, Te Kahu o Toi Kiri showcases the art of our artist participants of Toi Kiri 2023: World Indigenous Arts Festival.
Te Kahu o Toi Kiri explores the dialogue between the exercise of skin marking and a range of cultural art practices; customary and contemporary, Te Kahu o Toi Kiri – the ‘cloak’ of indigenous body marking traditions. The exhibition opens 5.00pm on Thursday 28 September and will be open daily, until Wednesday the 4th October 5.00pm.
