The Mount’s beaches are great for relaxing in the sun, surf and sand and play host to everything from surf-lifesaving events to beach volleyball, national surf contests to sandcastle-building. The Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service patrols the beaches during the busy summer months, making it a safe place for families to swim and surf.

Five minutes from town centre. Just on main beach. Great walks, rocks to climb and a blow hole when conditions allow. Easy walk, beautiful and scenic.
